Fit Problem
Why Does My Bra Band Ride Up?
A band that climbs toward your shoulder blades usually isn't providing enough support on its own - the cups end up pulling it out of position instead of the band holding steady.
First test to try
Fasten the bra on the loosest hook and try the band-only test (worn backwards and upside down, cups not covering the breasts). If the band still isn't secure that way, it's a band issue before anything else.
Possible causes
- Band too large for a secure fit, even if the cups feel right.
- Elastic that has stretched out with wear.
- Cups without enough volume, which can pull the band out of place as they try to accommodate tissue.
What to try
Compare your current band with one band size down and the matching sister cup up - that combination often resolves riding-up without changing how the cups feel.
