Bra Type
Wireless Bras
A wireless bra replaces the underwire with structured fabric, foam, or a wider band to provide support. Support comes from the band and fabric structure rather than a rigid frame around the cup.
Construction
Bands are typically wider than on wired styles to compensate for the missing wire, and cups may use structured or double-layered fabric instead of moulding.
Common fit challenge
A wireless gore very often doesn't sit flat against the breastbone the way a wired one does, purely because of the construction. That's expected here, not a defect to chase with a smaller size.
What to check
- Judge support from the band and overall shape retention rather than gore position for this category.
- If the band itself feels unsupportive (not just the missing wire sensation), that's the more useful signal to act on.
