Why Is My Breast Spilling Out of the Cup?
Spillage at the top or sides of the cup is a more direct signal than gaping - it usually does point to insufficient cup volume or cup placement, though shape and settling still play a role.
First test to try
Check where the spillage happens: top edge, side (outside the wire), or both. Side spillage outside the wire is a stronger volume signal than top-edge spillage, which can also be a style-coverage issue.
Possible causes
- Cup too small overall.
- Cup cut low or narrow at the edge for a given style (a construction property, not always a size one).
- Tissue not fully settled into the cup before judging fit.
What to try
Try the same band with the next cup size up, and recheck after scooping tissue fully into the cup before judging.
