Size System
US Bra Sizes Explained
US band numbers match the UK system exactly. Cup letters agree with the UK sequence up to a D cup, then diverge - the US market has no single agreed label for what comes next.
What makes this system different
- Our tables show one common label per position past D (for example "DD") and list the accepted alternative (for example "E") as a flagged alias, never silently as the only correct label.
- "DDD" and "F" are both used by different brands for the same position - if you see either, check that specific brand's chart rather than assuming a universal answer.
- Because of this variation, a US cup letter converted from another system, or converted into US labels, always carries a brand-variation note in our converter - that's intentional, not a bug.
