UK Bra Sizes Explained
UK band sizes are given in inches, in even numbers. Cup letters run A to K, but past a DD cup the sequence doubles the letter (DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH...) rather than introducing a new letter for every step.
What makes this system different
- Doubled letters (DD, FF, GG, HH, JJ) each represent one full step up from the single letter before them - DD is one step past D, not the same as D with extra padding.
- UK sizing is also the reference pattern our AU/NZ and JP cup columns follow, since those markets use the same doubled-letter convention.
- A UK band number does not automatically match a US band number of the same value once you compare full sizes - always confirm the cup sequence separately from the band.
